The group stage of the Extreme Masters is officially over with Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen and Andrew “fire_de” Regendantz having closed out the season with an exciting game live at the ESL’s Friday Night Game.
After the game, the relegation matches were drawn at random by an ESL admin. Each match is between a 2nd and 3rd place finisher, with no two players from the same group allowed to face one another. The first place finishers in each group automatically qualify for the final while the relegation matches are to decide who amongst the 2nd and 3rd place finishers will qualify.
