Serious Gaming acquires NightWOlf & KiWiKaKi
The Dutch based organisation Serious Gaming announced today that they have added Yaroslav “NightWolf” Kavetsky and Jonathan “KiWiKaKi” Garneau to their Warcraft III roster.
Both players only recently parted ways with Mortal Team Work (mTw), having been removed from the team to make way for Jin “WinNers” Woo Kim and Du Seop “WhO” Chang, formerly of Beijing E-sports Team.
Kavetsky is returning to the team having spent time with Serious Gaming before joining up with mTw. Garneau however is new to the team, although he is adapting to the change quite quickly “Our team has a tremendous roster and I feel at home already,” as he explains.
Both players are arguably the best from their respective countries having represented their nations at international competitions such as the Electronic Sports World Cup and World Cyber Games events. In a more recent achievement Kavetsky managed to fight his way out of a very competitive group round making it to the Extreme Masters Finals amongst the likes of Grubby of MeetYourMakers, Lyn of SK Gaming and ToD of Mousesports.
While in mTw both players have proven themselves to be quite capable of hanging with the world’s best and this teams future results are sure to reflect that. Nikolaus “SonKiE” Cassidy, the teams resident human, has shown himself to be a top competitor along with teammate Kevin “RotterdaM” van der Kooi, Serious are surely a team with potential.
Serious are currently competing in the NGL Two regular season and will be attempting to re-qualify for the WC3L after an abysmal regular season where they ranked dead last. The upcoming WC3L qualifiers are sure to be the toughest we’ve ever seen, time well tell if these changes will have had an impact.
