SonKiE wins WCG Pan-American Championship

Nikolaus “SonKiE” Cassidy has managed to beat off Argentenain, Canadian and Mexican competition to become the WCG Pan-American Warcraft III Champion.

The event was held in Monterrey, Mexico earlier this week spanning three days of competiton between seven competetive platforms. America dominated the event winning all seven events Warcraft & Counter-Strike 1.6 included.

This is Cassidy’s second WCG title in as many months having won the WCG US Open just a few weeks ago.

The two wins have gone a long way towards cementing Cassidy’s status as top dog in North America, but a rival competitor may well challenge his dominance at the WCG US Finals in the near future.

Nikolaus picked up 700 USD for his troubles, the second place finisher, Martin “apm” Sanfacon of DELTA eSports also scooped 400 USD for his efforts.
