Blizzard Worldwide Invitational
Blizzard Entertainment will migrate its way to Paris this weekend for one of the most anticipated events in the PC gaming industry, the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.
Over the past few weeks Blizzard has cast bait all across the internet luring fans into discussion about the next Blizzard project. A splash page littered with symbols familiar to Blizzard fans has been fueling wild debate amongst the community. Many have decided to put on their sleuth hats, pick up their magnifying glasses and try crack the mystery of the mysterious splash page.
But screw all that, there’s Warcraft in Paris!
The event might be just a tad small, but given the calibur of the competitors present, small isn’t neccesarily a bad thing. Each and every match this weekend is going to be a wet dream for Warcraft III fans. Be you European, Chinese or Korean you’re sure to find a player you can get behind.
The first stage of the event could easily be confused with an ESWC quarter finals and the first two matches alone resemble an ESWC finals match, I dunno about you, but I’m sure excited!
The event will be double elimation brackets with best of three matches. For those of you who would prefer to watch three heroes fight for twenty minutes World of Warcraft will also be available.
The Warcraft III event starts at 17:30 CET and ends at 20:30. Individual match times aren’t yet available.
