Mortal Team Work qualify for WC3L

With today’s victory of Raptor Gaming, Mortal Team Work has successfully re-qualified for the WC3L and will be eligible for participation next season.
Mortal Team Work suffered from a somewhat poor run in the last WC3L season. The team closed out the previous season with seven losses and only four wins, as a result the team was overhauled and some fresh faces were brought in.
Juha-Matti “Satiini” Bäckström was the first player cut, possibly as a result of his failure to attend the NGL ONE finals with the rest of his team. Yaroslav “NightWOlf” Kavetsky and Jonathan “KiWiKaKi” Garneau were later removed from the team and landed at Serious Gaming.
Hyeong Ju “Check” Lee later left Beijing E-sports Team to move to Mortal Team Work, Lee competed alongside the team himself until joined by Jin “WinNers” Woo Kim and Du Seop “WhO” Chang, also of Beijing E-sports Team.
Mortal Team Work has been juiced up considerably since their weak performance in the previous season, but the team is not without it’s weaknesses. The NGL ONE format seems to suit mTw very well, Check is very proficient with the NGL system, but the WC3L system could present problems for the squad.
The solo match process will put more pressure on the fourth competitor. WhO, Check and WinNers are all capable players, but Johannes “hanf” Morlo and Kim Tae “Rainbow” In are both inconsistent on occasion. The two on two team for mTw is also lacking, this could present problems come the new season.
Regardless, the team still have time to work on their WC3L strategy and with what now looks like the addition of ESWC champion Dae Hui “FoV” Cho, the team is looking more and more like a top contender every day.
Mortal Team Work join Gravitas Gaming and wNv Gaming on the list of successfully qualified teams, ieS and PGS will be battling tomorrow for the last spot in the next WC3L season.
