Masters of Paris groups released


The ESWC Masters of Paris event is scheduled to take place this weekend in Paris, France. The group drawings have been completed and are now available.

In accordance with the seedings, each group has one top seed, one high seed and three challengers. Theoretically the seeding arrangements should help ensure the groups are even, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Li “Sky” Xiaofeng and Yoan “ToD” Merlo, arguably the two top human competitors in the world, have both landed in group A alongside Jae Wook “Lucifer” Noh and Daniel “XlorD” Spenst, two of the top undead competitors from Korea and Europe.

The “challengers” present in Group A just so happen to be previous ESWC and EPS champions, making for one very tough group. Conversely, group C may as well be a bye for Mykhaylo “HoT” Novopashyn and strangely Seo Woo “ReiGn” Kang, who was presented a top seed despite having few solo accomplishments.

The groups may not be perfect, but it’s very rare that they are. The groups are as follows:
