KODE5 German Finals
The KODE5 German finals commence today and will carry on through tomorrow at the E-Sports Convention in Dortmund, Germany. Eight players have qualified and made their way to the event in the hopes of qualifying for the KODE5 global finals to be held in Moscow, Russia during February of 2008.
As regional finals are not exclusively regional, three of the eight players participating are from out side of Germany. Both elfittaja and Konna have made their way from Finland while Paladyn has traveled from his home in Poland. This system, as apposed to strictly passport holding participants only, not only makes for a more competitive final, but for a more spectator friendly one as well.
Hoorai’s representative elfittaja has been playing very well as of late. His mirror game has shown promise having beaten DowaQ just a few days ago during an NGL one match, a definite advantage being that two of his strongest opponents in this event are also undead players.
Another notable undead competing today would be the newly appointed aTTaX player XlorD. XlorD also has a strong mirror game, beating the likes of Susiria in a key match during SK’s recent WC3L win. He’s also no stranger to success vs. human players, having taken out his new teammate DeMusliM in a crucial match during an NGL game, leading to SK’s victory several weeks ago. Why SK let him go is beyond me.
XlorD is the favourite to win the event but any one of these competitors is liable to take it, the competition this weekend is going to be tough.

Congratulations to dArk who managed to pull it back and win having lost the first set of matches, he has now qualified for the global KODE5 finals in Russia, in 2008. Replays are available from the homepage.
