MYM release their Counter-Strike squad

MeetYourMakers have just announced that they will be releasing their Counter-Strike 1.6 squad in light of their streak of roster changes and bad results.

Over these past few months MYM has been fighting with motivational issues, players were going out just as fast as they came in and something was sure to change. For what seemed like a permanent problem the team opted for a temporary solution by leasing Christopher “*GeT_RiGhT*” Alesund from his contracted team, SK Gaming. After using Alesund in an NGL match against SK, the partnership went south and the offer was rescinded.

Losing Christopher put the team down a man with little time to replace him before the DreamHack event. Not long after, player Sondre “*REAL*” Svanevik contracted pneumonia and would also have to miss the event. MYM dropped out of participating in the event and decided to call it a day.

Daniel “Nostra” Thornell had this to say about the event.

“Everything comes to an end and now it´s time for our dear Norwegian players to move on. I personally want to thank each one for a lovely time and a lot of smiles. I´ll always remember you guys and take care out there and we´ll hopefully meet up for some beers and some laughs in events in the future.”

The team will continue to play together with a modified line up, for how long is unclear but they will be continuing their participation in the Extreme Masters event, as former player Sondre “*REAL*” Svanevik explains.

“Our time in MYM is over, and it has been a great time… MYM is by far the best organisation I have worked for, and we would like to thank the organisation for what they have done for us… The team will be playing the EM with a slightly different lineup, but nothing too serious.. GG mym, it has been a good time.”

MeetYourMakers have not yet stated whether or not a new Counter-Strike team will be recruited.
