TeK-9 drops L-King & Haya
WSVG Champions TeK-9 announced today that both Daniel “L-King” Luther and Burak “haya” Aydin would be departing from the team. Both players were essential components to TeK-9’s win in Dallas earlier this year.
Even within teams as high ranking as TeK-9, changes are expected in light of the latest Call of Duty installment, Modern Warfare. The team attended the Activision LAN in Paris this past week, taking second place in the finals. It’s possible the event helped point out flaws within the team’s structure resulting in the change. Statements released with the news implied that both players were having difficulty finding time to keep up with the teams practice regiment.
Both players parted on good terms, L-King has stated he will be inactive until December at which point he will reevaluate his situation. Speed-Link having recently Nightwalker could be looking to facilitate the return of L-King to the team.
Daniel “L-King” Luther had this to say on the subject.
“Well after almost a year of successful gaming with tek9 is now time to say thx and goodbye. We had a few really nice events and I wouldnt like to miss them but lately it turned out to be not working so well as a team. The mix of different nations and personalities might have been a problem but well a succesfull problem! Im going to take a break until mid decembre and then i ll see what happens with my gaming future.”
Team Captain Davy “davy” Sysmans also had some parting words.
“A sad day for us. We had to let go of L-KiNG and haya decided to focus more on school and become less active. After recruiting these guys our success started to grow as if it were nothing. With that line-up we had a nice winning streak with WSVG Dallas, OOF2 and Eurocup XV lan. It certainly was awesome to have them but things cant always work out the way you want. We wish them all the best and we’ll see what happens.”
The team is now left with the following:
Davy “davy” Sysmans
Antonin “OZWALD” Grenier
Alexander “knaller” Shulepov
