MeetYourMakers (MYM) announced today that Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen would be joining their star studded line up of Warcraft players after the dissolution of his team of four years, Four Kings.
Four Kings yesterday announced the closure of their infamous Warcraft III team due to the high cost of maintaining an international competitive team. Four Kings have since expressed interest in going back to their roots to focus on the British e-sports market, whether or not that pertains to Warcraft is not known.
Speculation of Four Kings disbanding was frequent as players continued to leave without being replaced. Yoan “ToD” Merlo left in late 2007 after which speculation of Schenkhuizen departing became rampant.
World Elite was pegged Schenkhuizen’s next home by most, although that wasn’t the case. The captain went down with his ship and in the end the team was disbanded before Four Kings could hemorrhage to death.
The move is both usual and unusual in that both teams have for a long time been rivals, as have Schenkhuizen and MYM’s star night elf Jang “Moon” Jae Ho. Four Kings and MYM have met several times through out the years, Grubby and Moon have also met on occasion, a friendly rivalry mostly fueled by the fans, but a rivalry none the less.
With Schenkhuizen on board with MeetYourMakers it seems as though they’ve topped out, it would be very difficult for this team to improve on itself. MYM will be competing tomorrow versus Mousesports in season XIII of the WC3L, be sure not to miss it.
